With shouts "No to the euro", about a hundred supporters of "Vazrazhdane" gathered to protest in front of the building of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) in Sofia. The protest is being held over a planned official visit of the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, to Sofia on November 4.

"According to the plan, she was supposed to be at the Bulgarian National Bank at 10:30, but as far as we understand, she hasn't arrived yet," the leader of the "Vazrazhdane" party, Kostadin Kostadinov, told journalists. Perhaps because of this protest, her program today will undergo a change, the politician admitted. "We know what her route is, we know what her commitments today and tomorrow are, we also know what the program of European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis is, and we will try to make these people understand that they are not welcome in our country and that Bulgaria does not want the euro," Kostadinov said.
