To mark the 65th anniversary of the Cuban animation studio Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC), Bulgarian director Andrey Hadjivasilev conducted a film workshop with students in Havana, the Bulgarian Embassy in Havana announced on its Facebook page. The event, which took place on 10 November, began with a warm welcome from Bulgaria’s ambassador, Todor Kanchevski, to the Cuban children.

The workshop formed part of the International Conference, 'Digital Technologies, Challenges and Best Practices with and for Children and Youth', organised by the Cuban Institute for Cultural Research 'Juan Marinello' and held in conjunction with the MICE Cuba International Educational Film Festival.

As part of the conference programme, Hadjivasilev presented his children's feature film The Tesla Case and shared his experience with fellow filmmakers through sessions on film education.

Production of The Tesla Case was made possible thanks to support from the National Film Centre, the National Culture Fund and Sofia Municipality, in partnership with the Embassy of Bulgaria in Cuba.
