Radev and Szijjártó: Restoring peace in Europe is possible through diplomacy

Today, Bulgaria’s Head of State Rumen Radev met at the presidency building with Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó. The two discussed Europe’s prospects for addressing current challenges. Péter Szijjártó is visiting Bulgaria for a meeting with the Bulgarian President, said the president’s press secretariat.

Rumen Radev and Péter Szijjártó agreed that restoring peace in Europe through diplomatic means is a top priority for the European Union and the only way to ensure lasting security and stability. They also emphasized the need for consistent EU actions to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, as well as the social and economic stability of the Union. In this context, they discussed the joint actions undertaken by Bulgaria and Hungary to expand regional connectivity to ensure the reliability of supply chains and the transit of energy resources.
