Ivan Diaskov, Deputy Director General on Operations for the Air Traffic Control of Bulgaria, told BNT said that such a strong southerly wind is usually typical of spring. Diaskov added that the main thing passengers should know is that in such cases the decision to land is up to the commander. He also said that on the morning of November 18, the situation was already different. The wind is 60 km. per hour and improvement is expected by noon, but then there will be rain. No flight cancellations are expected.
