The Physics of Sorrow of Bulgarian film director Theodore Ushev has won the Iris Award for Best Animated Short. This was announced by the film director on his Facebook account. Prix Iris is Quebec's National Film Award. The animated short film, which Theodore Ushev created in 2019, is based on the novel of the same name by prominent Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov. This is their second joint project after Blind Vaysha which was among the fiveshort films nominated for an Oscar in 2017.
