Sofia, London discuss EU presidency optimization

Bulgarian Deputy PM Meglena Kuneva and British State Secretary for European Affairs David Lidington have discussed in London options to optimize costs for the EU presidency based on joint initiatives of the troika including Bulgaria, Britain and Estonia. The sides have also exchanged opinion regarding the agreement over migration reached on Monday between Turkey and the European Union. Hopes have been voiced that the process of speeding up Turkey’s EU accession talks and the liberalization of the visa regime with it will result in democratic changes in that country.
