The Council of Ministers has approved the draft of an inter-governmental agreement of Bulgaria and the United States for exchange of information via Interpol about lost or stolen passports. The agreement will be signed by way of exchanging diplomatic notes. Bulgaria has been reporting to Interpol on a daily basis about identity documents declared missing and the database of the international organization of criminal police is available to all member countries. The signature of the bilateral agreement refers to one of the criteria for participation in the US Visa Waiver Program.
