Number of tourists visiting Bulgaria in June increases with 20% year on year

Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova is to take part at a conference of the Ministers of Culture and Tourism from the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation in the city of Sochi, Russia. The event will be held between June 22 and 24. Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia and Serbia will discuss at the forum measures aimed at promoting the region as a preferred tourist destination. Minister Angelkova announced prior to her departure that the number of tourists visiting Bulgaria in June has seen a 20% increase as compared to the same period last year. In Minister Angelkova’s words, the number of tourists visiting that country will see similar increase in September, too.
