Bulgaria offers Iran assistance related to spent nuclear fuel

At a meeting in Teheran with the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier Tomislav Donchev and Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that Bulgaria could offer Iran assistance related to spent nuclear fuel. Premier Boyko Borissov who is heading the Bulgarian delegation in Teheran said at a meeting with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (The Islamic Consultative Assembly) Ali Larijani that Bulgaria and Iran have the potential to strengthen the bilateral economic relations in the future. Currently the annual trade between those countries amounts to USD 160 million.
