Bazhilov and Vasilev finished last in the first semifinal series of the discipline after overcoming a distance of 2000 meters for a time of 6:47.00 minutes. This way the competitors qualified for the "B" final, which will take place on August 11. They will be playing for placing 7th to 12th.
