President sets date for referendum

President Rosen Plevneliev has set the date for the national referendum, initiated by showman Slavi Trifornov on 6 November, 2016.
This is also the date when elections for president of Bulgaria will be held. The referendum questions are: “Do you support the election of MPs by the majority voting system by an absolute majority in two rounds?”, “Do you support compulsory voting at elections and referendums?” and “Do you support an annual state subsidy for political parties and coalitions amounting to 50 eurocents per valid vote at the previous general election?
