Bulgaria’s Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued the highest alert for risk of wildfires in five Bulgarians districts on Sunday. Code Red was issued in Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Silistra and Haskovo districts. A high degree of risk was issued for Lovech, Gabrovo, Razgrad, Varna, Stara Zagora and Sliven districts. Bulgarian firefighters extinguished nearly 400 forest fires sicne the beginning of 2016. Most of them were caused by human negligence.
