Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov told the Bulgarian National Radio that developments on the Turkish-Iraqi border represented a direct threat to Bulgaria as a country close to the conflict. The situation is very complicated given that the problem is not between Turkey and Iraq alone but is a matter of global problems and interests. Sofia is worried not only over Turkish-Iraqi but also overTurkish-Syrian and Russian-US tensions in Syria, because a war in that region directly concerns Bulgaria, Prime Minister Borissov also said.
