Bulgaria has not yet nominated its next EU Commissioner: EC

 Bulgaria has not yet nominated its next EU Commissioner, the European Commission announced on Monday. The EC Deputy Chief Spokesperson Mina Andreeva specified that the EC will decide on the field of competence of Bulgaria’s new EU Commissioner when it receives information about the name and the qualification of the new nominee. At the end of October 2016, Bulgaria’s EU Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources Kristalina Georgieva announced that she would leave the EC and join the World Bank on January 2017. Germany’s EU Commissioner Gunther Oettinger will be the next Commissioner for Budget and Human Resource.
