Thousands of Bulgarians left without electricity on the last day of 2016

Thousands of Bulgarians were left without electricity on the last day of 2016. Several residential districts in the city of Haskovo are left without power due to a series of technical failures in the electricity transmission network of EVN power distributing company. Pomorie municipality on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast has been without electricity since Friday night due to damaged wires. Nearly 30 towns and villages in Yambol district are still without electricity, most of them in Tundzha municipality. The strong wind damaged 10 power lines in Stara Zagora district. 20 villages in Radnevo and Galabovo municipalities were left without electricity.
