At an extraordinary sitting Bulgaria’s outgoing cabinet decided to spend over EUR 3.5 million to combat domestic crime in the Bulgarian villages in the next three months. Premier Boyko Borissov commented that the latest decision allows the Police patrols to cover more Bulgarian villages. Boyko Borissov thanked the country’s National Assembly, which adopted at the end of 2016 an act, which allows former military men and pensioners to be employed and take part at the protection of places with low police presence after completing special training courses.
