Code Orange over heavy snowfall was declared on Tuesday for eleven districts in North and Eastern Bulgaria, the National Headquarters that monitors the winter conditions in Bulgaria announced. According to the weather forecast, a new snow blanket of up to 20 centimeters will be formed in those regions. Moderate to strong northerly winds are also in the forecast. Snow drifts are likely to be formed as well. Many roads are still closed, because the snow-cleaning companies have not yet cleaned all snow drifts. Traffic restrictions for freight vehicles weighing over 12 tons were introduced on some Bulgarian roads. The day temperatures in all Bulgarian districts will remain below zero.
