On Monday the consumption of electricity in Bulgaria has exceeded 7,700 megawatts in the peak hours and hit a twenty-year high. Due to power shortage, the reserve facilities of the country’s energy system were activated (nearly 600 megawatts) at the order of Bulgaria’s outgoing Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova.
