Ognyan Gerdzhikov was accompanied by Interior Minister from the caretaker cabinet Plamen Uzunov. Minister Uzunov stated that all structures stood in readiness to ensure public order in the event of any surprises on the part of Greek farmers. Ognyan Gerdzhikov on his part stated that the two countries were interacting well, adding that he hoped any chaos will be avoided.

The situation is normal at the other two border checkpoints as well – Lesovo and Kapitan Andreevo.
