Nearly 40,000 Bulgarians abroad have applied for voting

Today at midnight is the deadline when Bulgarian citizens wishing to vote abroad may submit the necessary applications. In order for a polling station abroad to be opened at least 60 applications must be submitted. According to the Central Election Commission, hours before the deadline nearly 40,000 people have filed applications. The biggest number of Bulgarians abroad wishing to vote are those in Turkey - more than 16,000, followed by those in UK, Spain, USA, Germany and Greece.
