The projects for the purchase of new fighter jets and new warships will be fulfilled when the National Assembly approves the project for modernization of the country’s ground forces, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov told the Bulgarian National Radio. As a matter of fact the previous National Assembly did not include the country’s infantry in the project for modernization of the Bulgarian armed forces. We discussed that issue with our partners from GERB party during the talks about the government programme. Our projects for modernization of the Bulgarian ground forces envisage the acquisition of new armored vehicles. We want the Bulgarian machine building plants to take active part at the fulfillment of those projects, Krasimir Karakachanov further said.
