The main problems that businesses in Bulgaria face are shortage of qualified workforce, problems with issuing working visas to foreign citizens, administrative burden and medical leave frauds

By the end of September, experts would have presented concrete measures to the business, aiming to address all those issues. This was what Bulgarian Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov announced. According to him, during this summer season, some 3,000 foreign citizens are working mainly in tourism and other sectors of the economy.

Problems related to issuing these people work visas have not yet been resolved.
