Sofia supports appeal for a more efficient U.N.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva took part in the high-level meeting on reforming the U.N. Addressing the participants, Minister Zaharieva expressed support for the appeal by US President Donald Trump and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres for reducin red tape and making the organization more efficient.

Within the frameworks of the meeting Minister Zaharieva held talks with the prime ministers of Albania and Macedonia – Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev. Ekaterina Zaharieva is in New York as a member of the official Bulgarian delegation to the 72nd session of the U.N. General Assembly headed by President Rumen Radev. Today the Bulgarian president is to take part in the official opening of the general debate of the session. Tomorrow he will address the U.N. General Assembly.
