At the end of his visit to neighboring Serbia, the President of the Bulgarian Parliament Dimitar Glavchev was received by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Glavchev has acquainted Vucic with the demand of the residents of the town of Dimitrovgrad which has predominantly Bulgarian ethnic population to restore the old name of the town Caribrod and to create conditions for attracting long-term investors to the municipality.
The president has vowed to continue looking for opportunities to attract investments to this region. The two officials have also discussed options for cross-border cooperation between the Northwestern region of Bulgaria and the Southeastern region of Serbia which are among the most backward in both countries.
