Bulgarian products containing Rosa Damascena not allowed on China’s market

The Chinese market does not allow the imports of Bulgarian products containing Rosa Damascena. It became clear at the International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair in the city of Guangzhou, where Bulgaria participated with its own pavilion. There are no reasons for restrictions against the Bulgarian rose products, Evgeni Savchev from the Agricultural Association for International Relations contends. In his view, this situation is due to an oversight. The Bulgarian products made of oil-yielding rose cannot be substituted with any other products, Mr Savchev pointed out. The restriction affects Bulgaria’s business, because this country sells 25% of its products containing rose oil at the Chinese market.
