On the second day of his visit to Cyprus, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met with parliamentary President Demetris Syllouris, with whom he discussed the prospects of promoting relations between the two countries.

In the words of President Radev, cooperation between Bulgaria and Cyprus in the sphere of power generation has an enormous potential. This country is prepared to take part in different projects, alongside Cyprus, in order to diversify gas transmission routes towards southeastern Europe, the Bulgarian President said. He laid emphasis on the importance of a gas interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece, capable of ensuring this country’s gas connectivity with other countries in the Mediterranean region. The President praised Cyprus’ efforts to create conditions so Bulgarian nationals may be free to work and be integrated into Cypriot society.
