At the conference on the regional and European integration of the Western Balkans, taking place in Sofia, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci stated that the region has never been better positioned for strengthening their shared process of integration into the EU. In his statement Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev focused on the need to unite the national economies in the Western Balkans so they may be able to participate in other markets together. Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic declared that in its own European integration efforts, her country also firmly supports the efforts of Albania and Macedonia to this end.
