The EU Conference “EURONET - Italian Networking around Europe: Innovation and Internationalization in Digital Society within the Bulgarian Presidency of EC 2018” has taken place in Sofia.

During the forum it was reported that turnover in the information and communication technologies sector in Bulgaria has marked over 300-percent rise over the past 7 years and has reached 2.5 billion euros. However, digitization is poorly present or completely absent in a number of sectors of the national economy.

Experts have been working on a common strategy for the implementation of products, technologies, business models and processes from Industry 4.0. The forum in Sofia was part of the program of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
