Bulgarian boxer Daniel Asenov has won his fifth European boxing title, triumphing in the 52-kg category of the U22 European Boxing Championships, held in Romania.
This way he brought a second title for Bulgaria from the championships, after Melis Uzunova won the finals in the category of up to 69 kilograms.
Emi-Marie Todorova won the bronze for Bulgaria in the 48-kg category, while Daniel Asenov’s younger brother Boyan Assenov also won the bronze in the 56-kg category.
