PM Borissov and British ambassador to Bulgaria H. E. Emma Hopkins discuss Brexit negotiations

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and British ambassador to Bulgaria H. E.  Emma Hopkins discussed the progress of Brexit negotiations.

The sides reiterated that the two countries will make efforts to guarantee the rights of Bulgarian citizens in Great Britain, as well as of British citizens in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian prime minister stated that British citizens are well received and that they will continue to be well received in Bulgaria after Brexit. Boyko Borissov and Emma Hopkins emphasized that cooperation between Bulgaria and Great Britain in the sphere of security is excellent, reiterating that the Bulgarian and the British services will continue to work together to combat terrorism, trafficking, illegal migration, corruption and in criminal investigations.
