Bulgaria’s Ministry of Finance published the draft bill of the country’s state budget for 2019. The budget is projected at real GDP growth of 3.7%, annual average inflation of 3%, unemployment rate of 4.8%.
The Finance Ministry is planning a deficit to the tune of 0.5% from the GDP. The public debt continues to decrease. Next year the authorities are not planning to make bond emissions on foreign markets. More money will be given for education, social policies and defense. All budget enterprises will receive 10% more money for salaries and social security contributions. The salaries in the education sphere will increase with 20%. The successful absorption of the EU finds remains among the top proprieties of the government. The money allotted under various EU funds and programmes helps the country reach a sustainable economic growth, higher employment, better social inclusion and territorial cohesion and build a competitive and innovative economy.
