The winter mountain resort Bansko was named for the 6th consecutive year Bulgaria’s best ski resort at a solemn ceremony at the World Ski Awards held in Kitzbühel, Austria. Bansko, situated in Pirin Mountain, placed among the best twenty six destinations on the planet. 208 top locations from 5 continents took part at the online competition which lasted for sixteen weeks. Over 2 million people from 143 countries participated at the voting. The official opening of the ski season in Bansko will be held on December 15. This year the world ski legends Partick Ortlieb and Marc Girardelli will be guests at the opening ceremony.
