Ekaterina Zaharieva: NATO’s enlargement should not stop

Bulgaria is a worthy ally in NATO - the most successful defensе and political alliance whose enlargement should not stop, this country’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva announced at the international conference named “15 Years Bulgaria in NATO@70 and 10 years ahead” held in Sofia. Minister Zaharieva pointed out that no military actions have been held in any of the NATO members in the past 70 years, since the North-Atlantic alliance was founded. NATO Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Antonio Missiroli who attended the conference welcomed Bulgaria’s efforts as a NATO ally towards maintaining security in the Black Sea.
