President Rumen Radev: Low voter turnout is food for thought

The low voter turnout at the European elections is not only a slap in the face of the political class, but also a food for thought why it is two times higher in democratic Europe, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev told media in relation with the results of the 2019 European Parliament elections. In President Radev’s view, the results of the EP elections in Bulgaria show that this country continues to recede from Europe not only in terms of the quality of life and government, but also in terms of the dynamics and the fullness of the processes which take place in the other European counties.
