Sixteen-year-old student from Plovdiv detained and investigated on suspicion of terrorism

Inspectors from the Child Pedagogical Room will start working today with the sixteen-year-old boy from Plovdiv who is investigated on suspicion of terrorism. According to the investigators, the sixteen-year-old student was radicalized by the Islamic State with planning a terrorist attack. The boy was recruited and radicalized in the social networks for nearly one year. The Bulgarian Police found a pipe bomb and other explosives during the search in his house. The signal was sent by the parents of the child who studies at an elite school in Plovdiv.
