Ekaterina Zaharieva to Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili: We expect the EU to evaluate the countries under the “more for more” principle

Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva met with the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili and this country’s Premier Mamuka Bakhtadze within the frameworks of her working visit to Batumi where she is participating at the International Conference dedicated to the Eastern Partnership. At the meeting with President Zourabichvili Minister Zaharieva underlined that Bulgaria is among the most active supporters of Georgia’s EU and NATO perspective. Minister Zaharieva expects the EU to use the so-called “more for more” principle to evaluate each country -more reforms and bigger fulfillment of the conditions under the association agreements in return for higher commitment by the EU.
