Bulgaria has preserved its place in the European Athletics Team Championships Second League in Varazdin, Croatia. After a fierce two-day competition, they remained on the sixth place in the group with 297 points. The Bulgarian athletes won 6 gold medals - Ivet Lalova-Collio triumphed in the 100 and 200 meters; Mirela Demireva was untouchable in the high jump; Radoslava Mavrodieva won in the shot put event; Gabriela Petrova was victorious in the triple jump, and Tihomir Ivanov brought the only victory for Bulgaria among the men, triumphing in the high jump event.
