The European Parliament supported the adoption of the Istanbul Convention by the EU. 500 MEPs voted in favor, 91 MEPs voted against and 50 MEPs abstained. The document urges the EU member states which have signed but not ratified yet the convention, including Bulgaria, to do so without delay.
