Sharp increase of labor costs registered in Bulgaria

Bulgaria is among the three EU countries with highest increase of labor cost, data of Eurostat shows. In the third trimester of 2019 the increase of labor costs in this country slowed down to 9.7% year on year from 11.3% in the second quarter. Romania is the country with highest increase of labor costs-13.2%. Hungary places second with 10%. The total labor costs per one hour worked in Bulgaria also saw 10% increase. Only in Romania, the labor costs per hour worked increased more-13.2%. According to Eurostat, highest increase of labor costs was registered in the service sector, construction and the industrial sector.
