This corruption undermines the rule of law and compromises the democratic institutions in Bulgaria. This was the answer of the US Department of State to questions of Sega newspaper regarding the recent entry ban imposed by the U.S Secretary of State against the Bulgarian Judge Mitalov and his family. In November last year, Judge Mitalov issued a permit to the leader of the Russophiles Movement Nikolai Malinov to travel to Moscow and receive the Order of Friendship by President Vladimir Putin, although Malinov was charged with espionage.
