In an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio the renowned Bulgarian economist Daniela Bobeva warned that the business would bear the impact of the measures against the coronavirus disease. The Bulgarian employers and workers, not the state, will save the economy, Professor Bobeva contends.

Daniela Bobeva forecasted that the national economy will mark a 5%-6% decline in the second trimester of 2020 and that external shocks will have a strong impact on the local economy. Imports and exports will decrease, but the share of Bulgarian products on the local market will increase. The small business must be a priority of the Bulgarian authorities, Professor Bobeva added.
