The America for Bulgaria Foundation, the Bulgarian Donors Forum, the US Embassy in Sofia and the American Chamber of Commerce have set up an independent fund entitled "United against COVID-19". With donations from Bulgarian and international businesses as well as generous individual donors, more than € 394,000 have already been raised. The funds will be directed to a variety of Bulgarian healthcare facilities, Nancy Schiller, President of America for Bulgaria Foundation, said. She is astounded with the work of the civil sector in a state of emergency. "It gives me hope and makes me believe that good is more contagious than the virus," Nancy Schiller said.

The new fund continues to raise funds for the non-governmental sector and small businesses through its #StandingTogether donation account.
