Two drivers were killed in a severe chain-reaction crash that involved 22 trucks on the Maritza highway. 6 people were taken to hospital. The trucks were traveling in a convoy from Turkey to Europe. One of the first trucks stopped suddenly. There was a thick fog at the time of the incident, it was reported. The damage to property is enormous. Due to border restrictions caused by COVID-19, traffic in the region is complicated.
