Growth rate of new Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria slows compared to day earlier

16 new coronavirus cases have been registered over the past 24 hours out of a total of 496 tests carried out, announced the National Crisis Staff at 8 AM on Wednesday.

Six people have been hospitalized. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the country up to 581. The growth rate compared to Tuesday is 2.8% as against 4.6% a day earlier. There are no new regions of the country with registered Covid-19 cases. Of the new cases 11 are in Sofia, 3 in Stara Zagora, 1 in Kardzhali and 1 in Plovdiv. 32 are the registered cases among medical staff. 42 people have recovered. 23 have died, or 3.9%, the average age being 65.
