Bulgarian MEPs demand suspension of Mobility Package

MEPs Petar Vitanov, Andrey Novakov, Ilhan Kyuchyuk and Angel Dzhambazki called on the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli to stop the Mobility package. In an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio, the Member of the European Parliament Ilhan Kyuchyuk said that a revision of the Mobility package should begin in view of the complicated period of coronavirus pandemic. The Council adopted the controversial amendments to the Transport Directive. In order to come into force, the document has to be approved by the European Parliament’s Transport Committee and put to the vote at a plenary session.
