Bulgaria’s cabinet adopts 2020-2030 Convergence Programme

The Bulgarian cabinet adopted the 2020-2030 Convergence Programme. The document is prepared annually in correspondence with the rules of the EU Stability and Growth Pact and the schedule of the so-called European Semester. The usual format of the programme has been changed due to the emergency situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic uncertainty. The mid-term fiscal policy will aim at maintaining the budgetary objective of -1% of the GDP for the structural balance on an annual basis.
