Police seizes large amount of cocaine in Sofia

More than 320 kg of cocaine were found in an apartment in Sofia. Most likely, the apartment in Studentski grad district belongs to a man who has been previously detained with 40 kg of cocaine in his car. More than 300 packages of drugs were found. Sources from the investigation told the BNR that it was probably a drug depot. It is possible that the drugs are for export, because in Bulgaria there is no consumption and market for such a quantity.
According to rough estimates, cocaine on the illegal market is worth about 40 million euros. Following an international operation with arrests in 4 countries, 1 tonne of cocaine impregnated in boxes of fruit imported from Colombia has been seized in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year.
