34 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours, Deputy Minister of Health Zheni Nacheva announced at an extraordinary press-conference. The briefing was held in connection with inconsistency of information about the newly-infected patients and the victims of Covid-19 on the website of the Single Information Portal on Covid-19. 8 of the newly-registered people were admitted to hospitals. 68 people recovered from the virus and a total of 1,276 PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. No Covid-19 fatalities were registered during the past 24 hours in Bulgaria, Deputy Minister Nacheva explained. “On June 4 the total number of Covid-19 victims stood at 147. On June 5 a total of 159 Covid-19 deaths are reported. However, the new Covid-19 fatalities are in fact people who died of Covid-19 in April and the beginning of May, when some hospitals had not reported the abovementioned cases of deceased patients”, Deputy Minister Nacheva explained.
