Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva has called on Bulgarians to abstain from traveling outside Europe because of the coronavirus situation.
"There is no joint European decision for traveling around the world. The epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic has shifted from Europe to North America and South America. There are nests of infection in Asia and Africa. That is why I think it is best for Bulgarians to make plans for vacations in Bulgaria or in Europe," Minister Zaharieva said in an interview for "24 Hours" newspaper. She recalled that the quarantine for 8 EU countries was still in force. Currently, neighboring Turkey also remains off the tourism list.
