There is evidence of organized groups trying to create and escalate tension at the protests, Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Mladen Marinov said in Parliament. We are constantly receiving signals via different channels about possible escalation of tension, presence of groups of provocateurs seeking confrontation with Police and trying to attack buildings of Bulgarian institutions. The police have taken the necessary action, because the signals are again alarming. That is why I call for the situation to be reflected objectively. I also call on the people to avoid making suggestions that the Police are beating the citizens when it is subject to provocations and the law allows it to use physical force and riot control equipment, Minister Mladen Marinov says further.
